Ohio would be Cedar Point & Lake Erie. Indiana I know nothing about.

Do you really have the option? Are you taking a sales position? Congrats.

Assuming you want to live in a decent sized city, you've basically got Indianapolis (IN), or Cincinnati, Columbus, or Cleveland (OH) - Anything else will be a bit more, um, rural.

I've lived in both states and spent time in each city. I wouldn't specifically recommend Cleveland (a bit economically depressed at the moment and not very central if you have an Ohio / Indiana territory.) Columbus would probably be the most central for you, and the city is doing well economically and the college adds a bit of vibrancy. But, I think Cincy has some character (by mid-west standards) not to mention at least a bit of topography which makes it worth looking into...

It's tough to say more without knowing what you're looking for.

Really more specifics are needed before anyone can answer to your needs. Is this for a vacation, and if so, for who, an individual, a family, adults, or children? Is this for a place to move, and if so, do you need to know a specific type of job market?

If I had more specific, I could probably help since I live in Ohio and visit Indiana frequently. If you are looking to visit one of these states, most places are quite close and you could visit both states. Dayton and Cincinnati are both only about 2 hours from Indianapolis.

I've only been through Cincinnati so I don't know much about Ohio. As far as Indiana goes, Indianapolis had plenty of places to go. The zoo, children's museum, Motor Speedway, sporting events, nightclubs galore, more malls than I have fingers. Outside of Indianapolis, the most fun you'll have is cow tipping.

If it's for kids, Indianapolis, IN has the biggest & most thorough interactive Children's Museum. Indy also has a very nice zoo, state museum w/ IMAX theater, art museum, basketball (we're still in the playoffs), baseball (Indians - semi-pro team), tons of food options, NCAA Hall of Fame, Eiteljorg Museum, lots of clubs/bars for adult fun, and fancy hotels down to regular Days Inns. Just about something for everyone. And in the middle of it, is an awesome mall for the shoppers! Weather is getting nice in Indiana - so, it's a nice time to visit.

It depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for big cities-go to Ohio. If you're looking for corn and soybeans-go to Indiana.
